Investment Casting – Precision Magnesium Solutions
Investment casting, also known as lost-wax casting, is one of the oldest known metal-forming techniques, used for over 5,000 years to produce highly detailed metal objects. Originally applied to bronze and precious metals, the process has evolved into a cutting-edge manufacturing method for producing complex, high-precision components in modern alloys, including Magnesium.
At our facility, we’ve combined the heritage of traditional investment casting with today’s most advanced materials, tools, and inspection technologies to deliver lightweight, accurate, and high-performance parts for industries where every gram counts.
We specialize in Magnesium investment casting, a rare and demanding process that requires deep technical expertise, specialized equipment, and a deep understanding of material behavior. Our castings are widely used in aerospace, automotive, medical, and electronics applications, where weight reduction and dimensional integrity are mission-critical.
The Process
Using the lost-wax method, we produce detailed and dimensionally accurate castings, with the ability to achieve a wall thickness of 1mm from your CAD models. Wax patterns are created using molds or additive manufacturing, coated with ceramic layers, and fired to form durable shells. Molten Magnesium is then poured into the mold to produce highly accurate, complex parts with excellent surface.
Why Choose Magnesium Investment Casting?
Magnesium is the lightest structural metal available, making it ideal for reducing weight without sacrificing mechanical strength. With excellent machinability and corrosion resistance (when properly treated), Magnesium castings are a preferred solution for performance-critical systems.
Advanced Capabilities
Our production line supports:
- Complex geometries with minimal need for post-machining
- Short lead times, including prototypes and small-to-medium series
- In-house engineering support to optimize part design for casting
- Precision inspection using 3D scanning systems and full dimensional validation
Quality You Can Rely On
Our operations are AS9100-certified, and every part undergoes strict quality control from design through final inspection. Full traceability and detailed inspection reports are available upon request.
